 Today, we presented our projects on the poem we read Wednesday in class. I learned more about self expression and why it's important to not conform to the societal standard. This impacted me because a lot of the time it is easy to just try to run with the crowd so it's nice to hear about people who don't and how they feel. I liked this assignment and presenting because it was fairly simple but also allowed for discussion and collaboration. Today, i'm very tired and my head hurts really bad because I suffer from chronic migraines (whomp whomp) and it often triggers normal headaches too.

Last year, people were mean to my sister because they thought she was mean to this other girl, when in reality she had just been standing up for herself. This girls friends spread around a rumor saying Nina was mean and not a nice person but that wasn't the case. After they got to know her, they realized she was really awesome and really fun to be around. Limiting ourselves to one story can be harmful because then we don't understand the reality of a situation. Today in class we completed a common lit. I was very interested in the speech but I was having a little trouble focusing because it was really loud.

Write about a time when your failure was necessary for your growth. Examples of failures could be failing a major exam, failure to make a team, failure in a relationship, etc.

 One time a failure was necessary for my growth is when I was in middle school and my mom was directing Matilda the Musical and I didn't get cast. This made me want to work really really hard and I developed a love for the show and now I am playing Matilda this year!   Today in class we finished up the questions for the Yellow Wallpaper and I finished with time to spare! That was really nice.
