A time when someones words had a lasting impact on me

 One time that someones words had a lasting impact on me was when my mom talked to me about standing up for myself. She taught me the value of not letting people treat you as less than. Out of all the things my mom has said or taught me that lasted, I value this one the most.

Today was a virtual day. It was really nice to be able to sleep in and still get work done. I had time to spend with my sister which was awesome because we don't get to spend time together a lot.

Last year, people were mean to my sister because they thought she was mean to this other girl, when in reality she had just been standing up for herself. Write about a time when your failure was necessary for your growth. Examples of failures could be failing a major exam, failure to make a team, failure in a relationship, etc.

 One time a failure was necessary for my growth is when I was in middle school and my mom was directing Matilda the Musical and I didn't get cast. This made me want to work really really hard and I developed a love for the show and now I am playing Matilda this year!   Today in class we finished up the questions for the Yellow Wallpaper and I finished with time to spare! That was really nice.
