What steps can you take now to prepare for a career that pays more than minimum wage? Think about education, skill-building, job research, and networking. Which steps are most important for you right now?

 You can try to get a good education after high school, but you can also make sure that you build certain skills for yourself, and find a good job that matches your skill set. You can also try to utilize resources around you in order to move higher up on  the job ladder. 

In class today we watched a video on a woman who makes minimum wage and responded to the questions that accompanied it. I think the video was really eye opening because it shows you just how little some people in the country make.
